Chapters & Chai is a book club by Cup of Kee - Hosted each month at Waterstones Worthing. Established in Summer 2025, Chapters & Chai was born from a love of reading and a desire for community and connection. 

All readers are welcome, and all our members are welcoming! Together, we've created such a friendly environment where people can share their love of books, and bring their own unique perspectives to our discussions.

About the Host

Hi! I'm Keeley (she/her), and I'm the host of Chapters & Chai. 

I'm in my twenties, and I've been reading books since I was a toddler! I studied Creative Writing and English Literature at college, and I've been blogging about books for over ten years now. So, a book club seemed like the next thing to do!

I decided to set up my own book club in the Summer of 2025 in order to find a community of fellow book lovers in my local area, and I am so blown away by the reception Chapters & Chai has had! Never did I expect to bring so many people together to talk about books, or to find such a lovely group of people.

When I'm not reading, you'll find me listening to music, playing Dungeons & Dragons, painting pottery, re-watching my favourite movies, or renovating my house!

- Will there be food & drink?
Waterstones have kindly offered to make some hot drinks for us, so it is recommended to bring your own travel mug! You can also bring your own (clean/tidy) snacks. Just be mindful that we are in a bookshop and do need to keep things tidy.

- Who is the Book Club for?
This book club is open to all. We are predicting our attendees to be predominantly women between the ages of 20-30, with a few unders and overs. We recommend members be 18+ due to the nature of some books we may read.

- What does the ticket include?
Ticket prices secure you a seat at book club! You'll also get a discount from Waterstones on our monthly reads, and receive a welcome bag of bookish goodies from Keeley.

- What kind of books do you read?
We read across a wide range of genres, and I really enjoy finding authors from all backgrounds. Here are some of the books we've read:
