Book Club Birthday: What's In Your Bags?

Book Club Birthday: What's In Your Bags?

If you attended our book club birthday party, you received one of our goodie bags! Here's all the information you need about the bookish goodies inside...

The Bags
Each tote bag was hand-printed by me, with the help of my boyfriend as making 30 bags is a lot of work! You would have received one of six designs, all of which will soon be available in my shop.

The 'Thank You' Cards
Each of you received a personalised 'thank you' card, hand-drawn and handwritten by me.

The Wax Melts
The sample-sized wax melts were handmade by the lovely Olivia Michael Candle Co, a Worthing-based small business. Their candles, wax melts, and diffusers are vegan, cruelty-free, and paraben-free and lovingly hand-poured by Rosalind. Together we agreed on the scent 'The Old Bookshop' - with notes of Bergamot, Ginger, Black Pepper, Pink Pepper, Cedarwood, Cashmeran, Tonka Bean, Amber, and more; these melts offer you a deep woody, spicy scent with an exotic twist.
I have so many favourite scents from Olivia Michael Co. please have a browse of her website, and keep an eye out for her stalls at local markets - particularly in the Autumn & Winter season!

The Crochet Keychains
The bookish ghost keychains were handmade by one of our own original book club members, Sophie of Mags and the Gang. I know it's not quite Halloween yet but I am definitely a Spooky/365 kind of girl, so to spread my Summerween agenda we chose these bookish ghosts. Aren't they cute?! Sophie also often has a stall at the local craft markets, so keep an eye out!

The Little Frog Stickers & Postcards
Summersdale Publishers, a publishing house in Chichester, kindly sent me these postcards and stickers to put in your goodie bags! The Little Frog was created by artist Maybell Eequay, and you'll find them in various lifestyle and self-care themed books, such as The Little Frog's Guide to Life, as well as The Little Frog Colouring Book. I personally love this little guy, so I am thrilled that Summersdale sent us these goodies!

The Enamel Pins & Stickers
These book-themed enamel pins & stickers were sourced by me. They're perfect to pin or stick to your memo boards, bags, notebooks, and more. With plenty of variety for all our different readers - whether you're into fantasy, a cowboy romance, or reading past your bedtime, there should be a pin and sticker design to suit you.

The Annotation Kits & Washi Tape
If you're a seasoned annotator or new to it, these colourful sticky tabs and pencil should be useful to you - whether you want to bookmark a passage or underline a memorable quote. And, if you keep a book journal, the washi tape is perfect for decorating!

Bird & Blend Tea
Bird & Blend Tea Co. is an independent, award-winning tea company founded in Brighton with many shops across the UK, as well as their
'Nest' in Worthing - Woods Way, Goring-by-Sea. You have a sample of their English breakfast tea 'Great British Cuppa'.

Everything Else...

The Cake & Cupcakes
Our stunning "book club" cake and book themed cupcakes were made by Charlotte's Kitchen, the award-winning Cake Shop in Rustington.

My T-Shirt
My embroidered t-shirt was custom made by New Chapters, a UK based bookish merch business. I ordered a white t-shirt with "Chapters & Chai" embroidered in brown thread - and she also has a range of sweatshirts, baby tees, and bookish accessories! Your "Book Babe" bookmarks were sent to us from her.

My Nails
The incredibly talented Ash at White Bee Hive Nails is always the gal responsible for my nails! She designed a beautiful set of book club themed nails, and of course had to feature a little ghostie on there for Summerween. She is a Worthing based nail artist working from her home studio, providing gel & BIAB services, and she is known for her stunning nail art.

I hope you love your bookish goodies as much as I loved curating them!

Happy birthday to us!
~ Keeley
